She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) and trained through the University of Melbourne and North Western Mental Health service.

Dr Waxmann has experience supporting people in both hospital and community settings, and works with individuals experiencing mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, trauma-related conditions, and more complex mental health challenges. She has a particular interest in supporting women during pregnancy and the postnatal period, as well as in neuropsychiatry, where mental health and neurological conditions overlap.

Dr Waxmann is known for her warm, respectful approach and takes the time to listen and understand each person’s unique experiences. She works collaboratively with patients and their families to develop practical, evidence-based treatment plans that support recovery and wellbeing.
