His clinical work focuses on careful diagnostic assessment, particularly in complex presentations with physical and mental health comorbidities, and developing practical, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs and goals. He works collaboratively with referring GPs to ensure clear diagnosis, actionable management plan, and continuity of care.
His clinical interests include management of Depression, Bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD and complex trauma, ADHD and OCD. His clinical approach is focussed on improving quality of life for his patients and helping his patients achieve their professional and personal goals.
Dr Bharath completed MD in Psychiatry at the prestigious Grant Government Medical College, Mumbai, India in 2017. After working as a consultant psychiatrist in India across public and private settings, Dr Bharath moved to Australia via Specialist Specified Training (SST) pathway and then completed training for Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP).
While training in Australia, He has worked in Melbourne health, Northern Health and Western Health in Melbourne across diverse settings managing patients in acute inpatient units, emergency mental health, outpatient community mental health, perinatal mental health, short term recovery unit and long term rehabilitation services.
Dr Bharath has a passion for fitness, nutrition and its interplay with mental health. He is fluent in English, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu and Marathi, allowing him to work effectively with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
